Biography

Dr. Caylee Banta, OTD, MS, OTR/L, CIMI-2, ASCDS, CPRCS, CFVRS, ADHD-RSP, is a Doctor of Occupational Therapy with over a decade of experience in a variety of settings, specializing in pediatrics with advanced certifications tailored to meet the needs of this unique population.

 Dr. Banta graduated from the University of Florida Cum Laude and University of St. Augustine of Health Sciences respectively, with her Masters and Doctor of Occupational Therapy. Upon graduation she began to venture into the world of occupational therapy exploring all the facets including pediatrics to geriatrics, eventually finding suit in pediatrics with a special interest in autism spectrum disorder (ASD). She is a consultant and SME for several colleges and faculty from the associates to post professional doctoral level hybridizing programs and developing course content by ACOTE standards. She has also worked extensively to develop test questions for NBCOT preparation to help future occupational therapy students succeed. She has extensive background in research including a focus on the practitioner’s mental health for which she has been published and peer reviewed.

Dr. Banta has also given back to the community as a leader on the Florida Board of Occupational Therapy for almost a decade as the CEU Liaison, Probable Cause Panel Member, and Chair. She also served on the Healthystart Coalition of Brevard giving back to women and babies in her own hometown community that need support.

Dr. Banta’s goals include educating and mentoring the future generation of occupational therapists to give back, promote client-centered care, and innovate the future of the field.
