Welcome to the Scholarship page at SCU. The scholarships are made available through the generosity of our university donors, alumni, and friends. Scholarships are merit-based, need-based, and non-need-based monetary awards.
Looking to offset college costs without the burden of loans or extra work? Scholarships at SCU are available for you to apply to help reduce the cost of your tuition. They are designed to reward, encourage, and assist students pursue academic excellence and leadership roles. Additional criteria, such as campus or community activities, volunteer work, work experience, and financial need are considered during the selection process. The Scholarship Application Process is open for the Fall, Spring and Summer Term unless otherwise specified by a specific scholarship. Scholarship deadlines for each term is as follows:
- Summer Term: Deadline to apply is August 11th, 2025
- Fall Term: Deadline to apply is December 1st, 2025
- Financial Assistance: Scholarships don’t need to be repaid, making them a smart investment in your future.

Eligibility Criteria:
While many scholarships are open to all entering students, some have specific criteria, such as:
- Academic Programs: Scholarship applicable to specific academic programs
- Gender and Race
- External Scholarships: In addition to university-specific scholarships, there are scholarships offered by outside organizations that may have their own unique criteria.
Please review the specific eligibility criteria for each scholarship, as some may have additional requirements that could affect your eligibility.
By understanding and meeting these criteria, you can find the scholarships that best align with your background and goals. We encourage you to explore all the opportunities available to you and apply to those for which you are eligible.
- Review all the available Scholarships
- Click on the scholarship and review the eligibility criteria. If you are interested and meet the criteria, click on “Apply Scholarship Application” button.
- Complete all the application questions and you don’t have to self-report information we already have on record, such as your academic information, and financial need.
- Prepare and upload a personal statement to support your application.
- Contact a faculty member, advisor or other academic reference who is willing to provide a letter of reference for you; only for those scholarships that require a reference.
- Prior to submitting your scholarship application, ensure that the application is all filled out and all required materials have been enclosed.
You will automatically be considered for all scholarship opportunities for which you meet the minimum criteria if you submit all required application materials by the required deadline. Your application will then be made available to the Scholarship Committee for further consideration. If you are awarded a scholarship, you will receive a notification from the Office of Financial Aid. If you have the honor of being a recipient, you may be asked to write a thank you letter to the donors or University friends that made it possible!
