Vaidya Sujithra graduated with honors in Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery with the State First Rank and Gold Medal from  Dr.M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai. She also completed the MSc Bioinformatics Course from Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore and completed MD in Ayurvedic medicine with First Rank, from Amrita School of Ayurveda. Currently, she is pursuing PhD at Amrita Vishwa Vidhyapeetham. She worked for 13 years at Arya Vaidya Cikitsalayam & Research Institute Tamilnadu. Vaidya Sujithra also served as the Head of the Department of Literary Research at AVP Research Foundation, Coimbatore. She has published several papers in Indexed Research journals and three books on Arshas, Prameha and Grahani. Her latest book published is ‘Kaikulangara Rama Variyar’s Arogyakalpadrumam’ – A complete compendium on Bala Cikitsa from the Traditional Ayurvedic Practice of Kerala’, a major work on pediatrics. She also serves on the editorial board and as a reviewer of esteemed UGC and SCOPUS indexed Journals. She is the author of the first android app for a collection of 30 Nighantus called ‘Mahanighantu’. She was conferred with the JIVAKA award for being State First by HIMALAYA and PV Rama Varier Memorial Award by AVP Group of Institutions for Academic Excellence.
