Biography
Allea completed both her B.S. and M.S. at California State University, Northridge. She conducted microbiology research there as both an undegraduate and graduate student. Her research focuses in antibiotic resistance mechanisms in Escherichia coli. Throughout her research career, she earned several scholarships including the CSUN presidential scholarship an Honorary Nathan O. Freedman Memorial Award for Outstanding Graduate Student. She has also presented at several local, national, and international scientific conferences including the American Society for Microbiology and the World Microbe Forum. Aside from teaching at SCUHS, she also teaches at microbiology at California State University, Northridge.
