Biography

Andrew "Andy" Patalano is a chemist specializing in inorganic chemistry, food science, and materials science, with over five years of experience in higher education. Andy received his undergraduate degree from the University of Redlands and his PhD in inorganic chemistry from the University of California at Riverside.

Throughout their academic journey, Andy has contributed to numerous research projects, focusing on the synthesis and characterization of novel inorganic compounds for applications in oil spill cleanup, nanotechnology applications and antibacterial coatings. His expertise extends into the realm of materials science, where they investigate the development of advanced materials with unique properties for sustainable and practical applications.

Over the past five years, Andy has been deeply involved in academia throughout southern California, teaching undergraduate chemistry courses from general to organic to inorganic chemistry. He has a proven track record of mentoring students, guiding them through complex topics in chemistry and inspiring the next generation of scientists, nurses and healthcare professionals.
