Biography

Dr. Babak Aryanfar graduated from Kerman University of Medical Science in Iran in 2003. He practiced as Emergency Medicine Doctor at a University-based hospital for several years. After moving to the USA and getting his ECFMG certification, he started to work as a study manager for more than 25 different research studies and clinical trials at UCLA and VA Greater Los Angeles Health Care System (GLA-VA). Those studies mainly focused on veterans with lung nodules.  The other studies he is involved in are related to Veterans with TBI  (Traumatic Brain Injury), Alcohol addiction treatment, Kidney failure due to Diabetes Mellitus, and Transmission of MRSA to Healthcare Workers.   Dr. Aryanfar joined SCUHS in Fall of 2017 as an adjunct faculty. He has taught Human  Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, and Genetics in Accelerated Sciences Division.
