Elena Hernandez joins SCUHS clinical faculty after spending four years practicing in private clinics in Chicago treating a wide range of patients with special emphasis on pre-natal and post-partum groups. Dr. Hernandez's treatment approach emphasizes patient education and empowerment and encourages patients to become active participants in their care. Her goal is always to provide patients with the tools and confidence to understand and manage their conditions independently. Dr. Hernandez holds the same goals for her students and hopes to help them build confidence in their ability to diagnose and manage a wide range of patients. She hopes to provide an environment where students can develop their style and flow while also emphasizing evidence based practice and patient experience. Dr. Hernandez is certified in parts A, B and C of MDT and Webster Technique, she enjoys teaching students how to incorporate MDT assessments into their patient encounters.
