Biography

Dr. Jacqueline Beres currently serves as Assistant Dean of Clinical Education for LACC and Director of the Spine Care Department for SCU Health. Dr. Beres earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences from the University of Florida, and went on to obtain her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida. She is formally trained and certified as both a Primary Spine Practitioner (PSP) through the University of Pittsburgh and in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) via the McKenzie Institute® USA Center for Postgraduate Study. Dr. Beres is considered a content expert regarding Clinical Reasoning in Spine Pain protocol (CRISP) and the Primary Spine Practitioner (PSP) model, a concept based on establishing a subset of healthcare providers as initial point of contact specific to spinal pain and associated conditions. Dr. Beres has focused her career on implementing and refining a systematic, evidence-informed, and value-based approach to the evaluation and management of spine-related disorders by applying the PSP model and CRISP concepts. She has played a vital role in the establishment of evidence-based clinics in both the private and educational settings. Dr. Beres joined SCU in 2015 as an Assistant Clinical Professor and Faculty Clinician involved in the University Health Center’s outpatient teaching clinic as well as an attending doctor for the post-graduate Primary Spine Care Residency program.
