Biography

Lawrence Hsiao, MD (TCM), LAc, faculty 0f Eastern Medicine Department

Dr. Lawrence Hsiao has been a Professor and Clinical Supervisor at Southern California University of Health Sciences-College of Eastern Medicine since 2005.  In his current position, Dr. Hsiao teaches Integrated Chinese Medicine 1& 2, Chinese Herbology 1, 2, 3, Chinese Medicine Diagnosis Methods, and Classical Foundations.  He was appointed in 2008 to chair the Clinical Education Department and the ACE Committee. Dr. Hsiao received his Master’s degree of Clinical Medicine (TCM) on Internal Medicine with the emphasis in Diabetic Complications and Bachelor of Medicine from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine with full scholarships. He has been a member of the Faculty Senate serving as the President and Vice President from 2010 to 2012.  He was written several research publications and Extravaganza poster presentations.  Dr. Hsiao received the Faculty Scholarship Award in 2008, 2017, the Leadership Award in 2011,  the Most Collegial Award in 2012, and the Special Recognition for Preclinical Teaching in 2021.
