Biography

Dr. Meghan Rohde is Associate Professor and Program Director of Physical Therapy for the Arizona campus. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Health and Sport Sciences, then went on to recieve a Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Montana where her thesis examined the unique approach to prepubescent female ACL reconstruction. She earned a PhD in Human and Sports Performance from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in which she examined the prevalence and quality of life concerns in female strength athletes with urinary incontinence. 

Clinically, Dr. Rohde has extensive experience workin with athletes from all ages and stages, from weekend warriors to professional athletes and Olympians. She is the owner of a private, out-of-network sports and pelvic health practice, Revolution Wellness Collective. Her specialties include female athletes, pregnancy and postpartum care, and barbell athletes such as CrossFit, Olympic weightlifting, and powerlifting. An athlete herself, Dr. Rohde has competed internationally in CrossFit, and earned a podium spot at the American Open for USA Weightlifting, winning 2nd in her age group and weight class. 

Dr. Rohde teaches content in the area of physiology and pathophysiology, therapeutic exericse, and musculoskeletal courses. She is the Director of the Pregnancy and Postpartum Special Interest Group for the Pelvic Health Academy of the American Physical Therapy Association, a member of the New Hampshire and Arizona Physical Therapy Associations, and an item writer for the American Board of Physical Therapist Specialties. 

Dr. Rohde has written numerous articles and given multiple peer-reviewed presentations in the physical therapy, urology, and sports medicine realms both nationally and internationally. Dr. Rohde's research interests include trauma-informed care for the perinatal period, exercise prescription and dosing during pregnancy, and trauma-informed educational practices for today's student.
