Biography
Dr. Preetideep Singh is the Assistant Dean and Associate Professor for the Interprofessional Education Department. He joined SCUHS in Fall of 2017 as an adjunct faculty. He previously served as the Chair, Department of Basic Sciences (now known as Foundational Health Sciences) from 2019-2020. Has has taught Cell Tissue Anatomy and Physiology (CTAP), Human Physiology and Pathology 2 courses in the FHS Department along with assisting in lab instruction in various courses. He currently leads Integrative Health Promotion Symposia 100-400 courses for the IPE Department Dr. Singh graduated from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, India with Bachelor in Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) in 2005. He completed his residency training and graduated as Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in Medical Physiology from Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, Delhi, India in 2011. He earned a diploma in Clinical Research in New Delhi. He worked as a Senior Resident teaching first-year medical students in Vardhaman Mahavir Medical College, New Delhi, India before immigrating to the USA. He worked in QTC Management Inc. and served the Department of Veteran Affairs while working closely with veterans for 5 years. He received his Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Lockheed Martin Inc, USA in process management. He is a Certified Higher Education Professional and currently a fellow and White House scholar in AIHM. He has been associated with American Career College, Los Angeles and Pacific College, Costa Mesa teaching Anatomy, Physiology and Microbiology since 2015. His research interests include Cardio-Respiratory Physiology and Autonomic Function.
