Biography

Dr. Molina is a licensed physical therapist with over 16 years of clinical experience.  She graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Health at Azusa Pacific University in 2005, and subsequently graduated from Western University of Health Sciences with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2008.  She then completed the Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency Program at Rancho Physical Therapy in 2009, and has been a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy since 2010.  

After working in the orthopedic private practice setting since 2009, she then went on to complete the Kaiser Spine Rehabilitation Fellowship in 2017, having advanced training in manual therapy techniques combined with advanced skills in motor control, biomechanics, and pain science.  Then in 2018 she completed the Azusa Pacific University Advanced Clinical Fellowship in Movement and Performance.  The fellowship consisted of movement approaches from Shirley Sahrmann PT PhD, Vladimir Janda MD DsC, and Pavel Kolar PT PhD, integrating the Movement Impairment Approach and functional neuromuscular approach.  She has had previous experience as clinical faculty and mentor for the Rancho Physical Therapy and Optum Physical Therapy Orthopaedic Residency Programs.  Dr. Molina is also currently adjunct faculty at two other Doctor of Physical Therapy programs, with the focus on Orthopaedics, Movement Science, and Clinical Reasoning. 

Dr. Molina’s clinical experience includes orthopedics and movement dysfunctions, aquatic therapy, TMJ dysfunction, vestibular and post-concussion rehabilitation. She also holds certificates as a Movement Links Specialist, and a Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) Exercise Trainer. 

Dr. Molina is also involved in the California Physical Therapy Association (CPTA), both at the local and state level.  She has previously served as a District Representative in San Diego and in the Long Beach/South Bay districts, and is currently the Chief Representative for the Long Beach/South Bay District.  She also serves as a member of the Government Affairs Committee. She enjoys working with her colleagues and those in the community to advocate for physical therapists and patients alike. 

In her spare time she enjoys running, hiking, backpacking, reading, and listening to podcasts.
