Biography
Dr. Roni Y Negro (Matsumoto) is a local kid from Southern California. She grew up playing soccer at a very high level and went on to the University of the Pacific where she was a member of the NCAA Div. I Women’s Soccer Team all four years. She has traveled and played internationally in various countries and briefly played for an independent professional women’s soccer team.
Having faced several injuries throughout her athletic career, some requiring reconstructive surgeries and extensive rehabilitation, she found her passion in Sports Medicine. Her first exposure to Sports Chiropractic came at the age of 11 following an ankle injury. Her first visit to a Sports Chiropractor would be all she would need to decide that was what she wanted to do “when she grew up”. She followed that Chiropractor around from the time she was 11, paid attention and asked A LOT of questions through all her own injuries and rehab, and began working on patients during her summer breaks at the age of 18. She is a firm believer that Sports Chiropractic was what kept her on the field and when she was injured, it was got her back onto the field.
Dr. Roni Y Negro is a graduate from SCUHS (2009) and in 2012, she achieved the title of Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians.
She has provided her sports medicine expertise at a number of different sporting events and for a variety of youth, high school, college, and professional teams.
Dr. Roni Y Negro, has always loved “teaching” her patients about their bodies and their injuries in private practice. So, it is no surprise that she has come to love having the opportunity to be a part of the future of Chiropractic as a Supervising Clinician and pre-clinical instructor.
