Biography

Ruben Mora earned his doctorate of medicine from the University of California, San Diego in 2016. He is an internal medicine resident physician at Connecticut Institute for Communities and has also completed an internal medicine internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in 2017. He is a member of the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA), the American College of Physicians (ACP). His clinical experience and interests include internal medicine and primary care. His research experience includes the characterization of nanoparticles for the delivery of chemotherapy, optimization of nerve grafts for nerve regeneration, and the evaluation of spinal cord stimulator implants for chronic regional pain populations. As a health care educator, he has been a lead instructor for multiple courses including the following subjects: nutrition, biochemistry, cellular anatomy, and pathophysiology. He is a committee member for the Student Progress Committee (SPC), Physician Assistant Comprehensive Examination Committee, Curriculum Committee, and Admissions Committee. Beyond his clinical and academic work, Dr. Mora enjoys visiting modern art museums, photography, music theory, and exploring opportunities to integrate technology into education.
