Biography
Tara Solgi is a graduate of master's degree in biotechnology (gene transformation and cloning) , and later she got her second master’s degree in bacteriology (degradation of bacterial biofilm) from University of Wisconsin-Madison, the United States, and currently is working as a part-time faculty in Southern California University of Health Sciences.
Her research papers have been focused on biotechnology and microbiology in areas such as transformation of canola by chit33 gene towards improving resistance to Sclerotinia sclerotiorum and authenticity of gelatin using species-specific PCR, published in international scientific journals.
She is experienced in working with different types of microorganisms such as fungi, bacteria and amoeba.
She believes that teaching provides an opportunity of learning from each other. The diverse environment of today’s classrooms prepares a fantastic platform for all of us to meet the differences and learn how to cooperate, team work, and resolve the issues.
