International Students Are Welcomed
- Connect with American culture at a university where education is fueled by forward-thinking modern Western practices, yet rooted and grounded in ancient Eastern techniques. At SCU, we respect and celebrate the cultural diversity of our students and we are excited to welcome you! Our education programs are built around collaboration.
- Courses are taught in English and are provided in an online self-paced and online live format. No F-1 student visa is required, as you attend classes remotely from your current location.
- Applicants whose highest degree was earned outside the United States must have their academic credentials evaluated by an agency listed on the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) website. The evaluation must be course-by-course with a letter grade and must demonstrate that the coursework and degree meet the University’s admissions standards.
- International student loans are available to individuals who meet specific eligibility requirements. In many cases, these loans require a U.S. based cosigner – an individual who agrees to assume responsibility for repayment should the borrower be unable to fulfill the loan obligations. A range of private organizations and institutions offer such loans, often providing targeted assistance to students from particular regions or countries who satisfy designated criteria.
- Before committing to a private student loan, it is essential to conduct thorough research and compare offerings from multiple lenders. Key factors such as interest rates, repayment terms, loan limits, and associated fees can vary widely between providers.
- For assistance in finding a lender, SCU partners with FastChoice, a platform that enables students to compare private loan options from various lenders.
