Doctor of Whole Health Leadership

Admissions Requirements

Applicants for the Doctor of Whole Health Leadership degree must meet the following admissions standards. Applicants who do not meet all requirements may be admitted with the approval of the Program Manager; exceptions are made on an individual basis.

Enrollment is limited. Applicants are encouraged to apply early. Qualified applicants will be accepted into cohorts on a rolling basis.

Be one of the following:

  • An administrator or educator with a master’s degree or higher and at least three years of leadership experience in a healthcare-related field.
  • A licensed clinician or practitioner with a master’s degree or higher, or at least 30 graduate-level credit hours beyond a baccalaureate

Applicants in the Non-U.S. Track must demonstrate English Language Proficiency, as outlined in the University Catalog under International Students.

Applicants need to submit:

  • Completed application
  • Resume or CV
  • Personal statement of approximately 250 words describing how the program fits your personal and professional goals.
  • Official transcript for the highest degree earned from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or an equivalent foreign agency.
    • Applicants without a master’s degree or higher must submit official transcripts demonstrating at least 30 graduate-level credit hours beyond the baccalaureate.
    • Applicants whose highest degree is from a foreign college or university must have their credentials evaluated to demonstrate that the courses or degree earned meet the admissions standards. The University will accept evaluations by an agency listed on the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) website. Canadian students are not required to have their credentials evaluated by NACES if their college or university provides transcripts in English and are sent directly to SCU.
  • Interview if requested by the program.
